We recently returned to Devine's Family Farm
for another stab at navigating a corn maze.
The cooler weather this year left Grant smiling most of the day.
Last year he about melted from the heat before we stumbled our way through the maze.
First, we tackled the beginner maze.
You know....the one with police tape marking the entire path!
Yes, we made it.
Then we moved on in our quest to conquer the corn.
This year, instead of wandering aimlessly, backtracking, and depending on luck to find our way through the big maze,
we made full use of our six member team to mark alternate paths and ensure we were always moving in the right direction.
We probably cut our time from last year in half.
Of course, the maze was different this year but equally as large as last year's maze.
Then it was on to more exciting things....
like bovine milking
pumpkin picking
wagon riding
pillow bouncing
duck racing
body flipping
and
face planting!
Yeah.
His back flip was a total F A I L!!!
It has been a busy weekend around here.
John went with friends Friday night to
which is found in
The first link will take you to some pictures of how the place has looked the past several years.
The second link will take you to the official Waverly Hills Sanatorium website where it shows the history of the building.
Creepy stuff.
I would love to go see the building...
in the daytime.
Emily got her new mouse hamster today too.
I'll have to get pictures of the new zoo pet soon.
Hope you had a good weekend.
