What does bedtime look like around here nowadays?

 

Grant tucked in for the night......

notice it's still daylight outside, this is probably nine o'clock or later

it's tough to get them in bed in the summer!

Grant has his fish nightlight/music box from the crib days, his water cup and his milk cup.

Don't start commenting about how bad milk is for them in bed.

I know.  I know.

We do it anyway.

Move over Dick and Jane....Jesus is taking center stage on the reading list!

She's got her horse Miley with her. 

Her new thing is to kick the covers entirely onto the floor before going to sleep...

don't much care for that little trick.

Emily had a friend over for a sleepover last week.

They did a mutual pedicure/manicure before bedtime.

This is how I found them in the basement.....

John and Emily waiting on me at bedtime on any given night....

we do piano lessons right before bedtime....

one showers while the other practices then they switch places.

About once a week I assign them new songs from their lesson book.

How many kids can say they've learned to play the piano while wearing pj's??

I'm sure  he'll hate me for posting this, but that's never stopped me before.

And now, I am off to bed myself.  Busy day tomorrow....

early church, Fourth of July parade in the neighborhood, then off to the farm for a cookout and evening fireworks.

We decorated bikes all afternoon for all for kids to ride in the parade.  I hope to get a picture of the bikes sometime tomorrow before the decorations get destroyed!
