Alternately Titled - LIKE I HAVE NOTHING TO DO TONIGHT EXCEPT TAKE PICTURES OF VEGETABLES!!!!
We started out with high excitement and low expectations.
Here are the first fruits (so to speak) of our labors.
I couldn't be more pleased.
I really don't think we're good enough at this yet to be self-sustaining, but hey, it's a start!!
We enjoyed a dinner tonight which included lettuce salad, cooked peas and baby carrots (all of which were eaten before the impromptu photo shoot tonight) from our own garden.
Our tennant at the farm grew the cabbage in his garden....he was just nice enough to share.
I included the cabbage in my picture so as not to make it feel left out.
OK, OK, I know I'm a little weird to be taking pictures of my veggies at midnight when I really need to be working, but I have to admit I have as much fun (or more) taking the pictures as I do growing the garden!
Yes, I'm weird like that.
YEAH! Now for the corn....that's what I'm really looking forward to eating!

We had a really nice Father's Day. After church, we loaded up and went to the farm. The kids mowed and played while I worked in the garden and David worked in the orchard and on the pasture fence.
We came home tired and dirty but happy just the same.
Love that place!!!!

Happy Belated Father's Day to the three or four dads that I know read this.
I love you all!
I love you so much I'll even share my veggies with you if you come visit......
deal??
