Last night we did a little experiment in the kitchen. The kids helped me decorate a cake I had made. Just for fun, we cut the cake into a funny layered shape. We then experimented with fondant, the "new thing" in cake decorating. It has been described as playdoh for the kitchen. I would agree.
Here is the finished product.
The kids were excited to try the new icing. They colored and rolled and cut and had quite a time. Then came the true test. Time to eat!!
All of my tast testers grabbed their forks and dug in.
The judges voted that it didn't taste very good. None of them finished their piece. That's how bad the icing was.Pretty looking. Pretty BAD tasting.
